Overview
Notifications keep you informed about activity in Ender Turing that involves you — a teammate commenting on a conversation, a mention in a thread, a new score on something you handled, a finished report, an automation that matched a conversation, or a scheduled chat result that is ready to read.
There are two places to work with notifications:
The bell icon in the side navigation rail shows your latest unread items as a quick dropdown and a badge with the unread count.
The Notifications page shows the full list with filters and bulk read/unread actions.
You decide which events you want to receive and whether each one arrives in-app, by email, or both. These preferences live in your profile under Notification settings.
How It Works
Getting to your notifications
The bell icon sits in the side navigation rail on every page once you're signed in, next to the Help Center and Profile shortcuts. The number on the bell is your unread count; once it goes above 99, the badge shows ∞ instead.
Click the bell to open a dropdown of your most recent unread notifications.
For some notification types — for example Report generated — each row also shows a small action button on the right. For report notifications this is a Download file shortcut that downloads the file directly from the dropdown and marks the notification as read.
From the dropdown, click Show all to open the full Notifications page.
From the dropdown, click Mark all as Read to clear every unread item shown.
If you have no unread notifications, the dropdown shows a friendly "no unread notifications" message and the bell shows no badge.
The bell refreshes itself in the background while you stay on the site, so new notifications appear without you needing to reload. If you've turned on the sound preference for the current browser, a chime plays the first time your unread count goes from zero to one or more — for example, when a new notification arrives while your inbox was empty. Subsequent notifications that arrive while you already have unread items don't replay the chime. The sound toggle is stored locally per browser, so it doesn't follow you across devices.
The Notifications page
The page is split into two tabs at the top:
Unread — items you haven't opened yet (the default view).
All — every notification you've received, including ones you already read.
The header above the list shows the page title Notifications.
For each item the list shows:
Type — the kind of event (for example, Conversation commented, Mentioned in a comment, Conversation scored, Report generated). Unread items are shown in bold; read items are dimmed.
Sender — who or what produced the notification (a teammate's name, an automation, the system).
Content — a short description, often with the matched conversation, the comment text, or a link to the related item.
Received at — relative time, such as 2 hours ago.
You can filter the list with the Sender and Type dropdowns at the top. The dropdown options are built from the notifications currently shown to you, so they reflect what you've actually received. A Clear button next to the filters removes both at once.
Opening, reading, and dismissing items
Click a row to open the related item. If a notification points to a single conversation, it opens that conversation in a new tab and the notification is marked as read. If it points to several conversations, a Matched conversations dialog lists them so you can pick one — in that case the notification stays unread, so use Mark as Read in the toolbar once you're done.
Select rows with the checkbox column and use the buttons that appear in the toolbar:
Mark as Read — clears the unread state for the selected items.
Mark as Unread — moves the selected items back into the Unread tab.
The page size selector at the bottom lets you switch between 10, 25, and 50 items per page.
Who can see notifications
Notifications are personal. Every signed-in user has the bell icon and can open the Notifications page, and you only see notifications that were sent to you. There's no shared inbox or way to view someone else's notifications.
Notification settings
To choose which notifications you receive and how, open your profile and click Notification settings.
The settings page lists every notification category and, inside each, the specific events you can subscribe to. For each event you have two toggles:
In-App — show it in the bell dropdown and on the Notifications page.
Email — also send it to your account email.
Click Save settings at the top of the page to apply your changes.
The categories are:
App activity — day-to-day events that involve you, including:
Conversation commented and Comment replied — someone added or replied to a comment on a conversation.
Mentions — someone @-mentioned you in a comment.
Reaction to session — someone added a reaction on one of your conversations.
Conversation scored — a conversation you handled was scored.
Training plan added and Training due reminder — a new training was assigned to you or a deadline is approaching.
Report generated — a report you requested is ready.
TODO added — a teammate added an item to your TODO list.
Scheduled result ready and Scheduled chat skipped — outcomes from your scheduled EnderGPT chats.
Automation — events from your automations, such as Conversation matched, Conversation scored, or Conversation commented.
System — account-level notices such as password reset and welcome emails. This category is shown on the settings page but its In-App and Email controls are disabled: System messages are always sent to your account email only, and you can't switch them to in-app or turn them off.
Default settings
If you've never changed your notification settings, Ender Turing starts you with both channels turned on so nothing slips past you:
App activity, Automation, and Report events arrive both In-App and by Email.
System notices are email only, as described above.
These defaults match what Ender Turing actually delivers. That means you can open Notification settings and click Save settings without changing anything and stay subscribed to the same events, including in-app bell alerts for automations.
Once you've made a choice, it's kept. If you previously set an event to email only, saving again won't switch its In-App alert back on.
Email delivery delay
Under App activity, you'll find a setting called Duplicate notifications to personal email if the notification has not been read In-App. Use it to choose how long Ender Turing waits before forwarding an unread in-app notification to your email. Options are 15 minutes, 30 minutes, 1 hour, and 2 hours. This delay applies only to the App activity category.
Scheduled chat notifications
For Scheduled result ready and Scheduled chat skipped, the In-App toggle stays on and can't be turned off — you'll always see these in your bell and on the Notifications page. You can still decide whether they also arrive by email.
What you cannot do
You can't delete notifications — only mark them as read or unread.
You can't see notifications meant for someone else.
You can't change the timing rules for categories other than App activity.
You can't unsubscribe from System notifications.
