Overview
Reporting lets you schedule automatic email delivery of your dashboard analytics. Once configured, you receive periodic reports in PDF or HTML format at the interval you choose — no need to log in and check the dashboard manually.
Each user configures their own reporting settings independently. Your settings do not affect other users, and you cannot configure reports on behalf of someone else.
How to Find Reporting
Open Analytics configuration from the main navigation, then select Reporting. The page shows the Reporting settings form.
Access and Permissions
Accessing the Reporting page requires the Settings: Analytics — Manage permission. Once on the page, additional permissions apply depending on the action:
Action | Requirements |
View your current reporting settings | Dashboard: View or Dashboard: View (team) |
Save reporting configuration | Dashboard: View or Dashboard: View (team), plus superuser privileges |
Send a test email | Superuser privileges, plus Settings: System — Manage permission |
If you can open the Reporting page but cannot save, your account may lack superuser privileges. Contact your administrator.
How It Works
The Reporting settings page lets you configure a single recurring email report. Here is how to set it up:
Enable reporting — Toggle the Enabled checkbox on.
Enter your email address — Type the email where you want to receive reports in the E-mail field. The address must be a valid email format.
Set the frequency — Under Send report every, enter a number and select a time unit: Minute(s), Hour(s), or Day(s). For example, entering "1" with "Day(s)" sends a report once per day.
Choose a format — Select PDF or HTML from the Format dropdown.
Click Save changes to apply your configuration.
Once saved, the system sends a report at each scheduled interval. The next report is sent after the configured period has passed since the previous one.
Sending a Test Email
Before relying on the schedule, verify your settings by clicking Send test email. This immediately queues a report to the configured email address so you can confirm it arrives and looks correct.
The test email uses the same format and content as scheduled reports.
Pausing and Resuming
Turn the Enabled checkbox off and click Save changes to pause delivery. Your other settings (email, frequency, format) are preserved. Turn it back on and save again to resume at the next scheduled interval.
Report Content
Each report is a rendered snapshot of your dashboard, captured at the moment the report is generated.
PDF reports — A full-page dashboard snapshot delivered as a PDF attachment. The file is named with the report timestamp (for example, "Report 2026-03-30 09:00.pdf").
HTML reports — Individual chart images from your dashboard embedded directly in the email body.
The email subject includes the report timestamp (for example, "Report (2026-03-30 09:00)").
The report reflects the dashboard data you have permission to see. If your dashboard access changes, future reports automatically reflect the updated scope.
Important Details
Reporting is per-user. Each user manages their own single report subscription.
You can configure only one recurring report at a time. To change the recipient, frequency, or format, update your existing settings.
If the system cannot reach the configured email address, reports may fail without notification. Use Send test email after any configuration change to verify delivery.
The report captures whatever dashboard charts are available to you at the time of generation. If you have Dashboard: View (team) instead of full Dashboard: View, the report scope is limited to your team's data.
